All creativity is based on love. We have the right to be free and express this through our art.

Carol will take you through explanations of how to use the materials brushes and papers, ideas on composition, and colours and demonstrate skills to you . We look at the work of other artists and see what we can learn from them and consider many things. But there is no one like you and it is all about releasing the artist in you.

The classes and workshops are relaxed and friendly and painting and crafting is so therapeutic . Picasso said "Art washes from the soul the dust of every day life". Do come along and enjoy yourself and make new friends.

To draw, you must close your eyes and sing. - Pablo Picasso

Carol Renee's Experience

Carol Renee has been painting since early childhood fascinated by colours and creative ideas. She graduated from the University of London in 1975. Throughout her life her main media has been watercolour and she has washed soft English landscapes and vibrant still life paintings on to the paper. As a tutor teaching art to adult artists over 30 years she has developed a wide range of imaginative styles to captivate her students. Her inspirations have come form Turner, klimt and Fairchild.

Carol has exhibited paintings in numerous galleries and exhibitions including The Castle Theatre Wellingborough,The City Gallery in Leicester, Knighton Studios and The Art Barn and at Quinns Bookshop in Market Harborough. Her art work has been published and Oxfam produced a range of greeting cards from her collages. Her work has sold internationally.

She has always been captivated by the mystique of the past and has created a very unique style of Heirloom Collage using vintage finds and natural materials which relate to people and places. These are sourced from a wide collection of Victorian photos, and collections of antique letters. Softly written words in pencil often feature in her paintings and her latest styles are detailed and contemplative.
